The beginning of a 6 mile steep downhill section into the Camp Verde Valley which is still at 3,500ft elevation and our home for at least the next week at Distant Drums RV Resort......Jim Reeves a change from Glen Campbell :)
Well from one of the worst campsites we are now at what seems to be one of the best and the forecast is bright and sunny weather from tomorrow with high 80's later in the week.....if all goes well we plan to stay here until we return home at the end of March, there's loads to do and see the campsite has delightful staff, a good exercise room, library and club house.......most of the sites are back-in rather than pull through but with guidance from our camp host YorkieMan does a brilliant job of reversing perfectly into our site......
All in all not a bad day, we even managed to watch most of the 2 six nations matches this morning......the England game tomorrow so hoping that the internet bandwidth here is up to the task :)
Almost forgot, they even have their own water-tower, when the rain stops I'm sure I shall just have to take a picture !
Over and out for now.....the furnace is alight and we are snuggling down for the evening....... |

Hi you two! Weather looks familiar, was in Aberdeen yesterday and there was snow there too. Its patchy down South, nothing here today but Sussex has had quite a dump of snow. Worlds gone mad. Glad you saw some of the rugby, good to stay in touch with the old country! Loads of people away at present, D&M went off to Spain on Friday, C&E in S Africa, Barry C in South Africa, Alan P in Tenerife. Barry J and I had 18 holes on Saturday - damned cold but good to get out - I won on the 18th - yippee! Stay well keep the pictures coming. A & M xx
