Well That Was Tougher Than Expected !......13th March

Again WOW at the views.........
Today is the Sedona Airport Loop Trail......a 4 mile loop trail with 360 degree views which was great but we did have mis-information  about the condition of the actual trail which was not so much a trail but in parts more a mountain goat path !! Large slabs of rock at a 30 to 45 degree angle slopping towards the edge of the cliff........
The view back to yesterdays hike, Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte.....
Part of the trail and the next photo......the photos don't really show the steep drop off and angle and lack of foot holds !! One needed to be a bit of a mountain goat............but well worth it for the view....
Well we made it along the trail and over the top past the airport runway and  to the other side of the airport loop trail......This is the city of Sedona from the trail........
Today's hike was at an elevation of 5000ft......
Camp Harris at Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde......
We are very settled and happy at this campsite,  there's plenty to do in the area, we are only 20 miles from some of the most fantastic landscape.......we have now booked to stay here until we return home at the end of the month.........
I thought I had posted this on Friday but just found that it didn't publish, oh well.....
I had put here that we hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy the rugby-fest on Saturday, well enough said.........
